Suzy McAllister has always loved new beginnings.
As a real estate agent, she helped people find their next home. As a rehabilitation specialist, McAllister gave older properties a second chance. And as a teacher, she provided students with organizational skills to make a fresh start.
Now McAllister is facilitating new beginnings like never before—as a sales counselor at Siena Lakes, a forthcoming continuing care retirement community from Erickson Senior Living, located in Naples.
"I'm so excited to be a part of this spectacular community that will offer a vibrant lifestyle, gorgeous apartment homes, and fabulous amenities," she says.
Making (simpler) moves
When she joined the Erickson Senior Living team as a personal moving consultant, McAllister was thrilled to combine all of her skills into one position. "I jumped at the chance to utilize my real estate, design, staging, and teaching experience," she recalls.
McAllister wasted no time putting her talents to work helping future residents, co-developing the Erickson Realty and Moving Services program.
The wildly popular program offers floor planning, real estate, home preparation, downsizing, and moving services to incoming residents, with the help of a dedicated personal moving consultant. "I'm proud to be an advocate for folks making this transition," she says.
Creating community
McAllister is a Delaware native but has been a permanent resident of Florida since 2017 and feels right at home in Naples. Her parents moved to Florida's west coast decades ago, and McAllister herself fell in love with the area when she competed in a National Tennis Tournament at the Naples Bath & Tennis Club.
An avid tennis player, McAllister has always made lasting friendships through the sport. She likens it to the way Siena Lakes community members are sure to form enduring bonds with their future neighbors—through shared passions, new experiences, and open hearts.
McAllister looks forward to seeing how Siena Lakes will reflect its residents. She says, "I love watching new communities take on the personalities and interests of the folks moving in."
A personal note
Occasionally, McAllister trades her tennis racket for golf clubs and hits the links with her partner Charlie. She loves having her daughter Cassandra visit from Manhattan to join the pair on an annual ski trip out west.
It's clear that relationships are important to McAllister—especially as she and the Siena Lakes team, along with future residents, begin to build the new community. "I always encourage folks to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or just to chat!"
