Every day, I meet with retirees who are eager to move to Wind Crest, one of many Erickson Senior Living communities across the country, but are unsure of where to start. However, they've come to the right place!
By working with trusted, local vendors to provide downsizing, packing, real estate, and moving support, I help future residents take the right first step and ensure their entire move is as streamlined as possible.
Then, together, we can truly focus on personalizing their apartment homes and thinking of all the ways they can take advantage of their vibrant new worry-free lifestyle.
Let's chat!
The best first step is to schedule a complimentary home visit with me or the planning and moving consultant at your desired Erickson Senior Living community.
This visit gives me the opportunity to see which rooms and spaces you utilize the most and recommend some floor plans, if you haven't selected one already.
We'll also chat about which pieces of furniture you'd like to bring, so we can begin determining a layout that will fit your needs.
And, if you get stuck deciding whether to take this or that, I can act as a sounding board. For instance, I would recommend using a beloved dining room buffet table--which offers great storage--as a TV stand, rather than taking a bulky entertainment center.
Favorite pieces and heirlooms can always be incorporated into a new space, even if it'll serve a unique purpose.
Creative, custom designs
Working with hundreds of retirees over the years, I've developed tips and tricks when it comes to getting creative with space.
I recently worked with an incoming resident who considered bringing a large dining table to his new apartment home--not for eating meals, but to hold his model railroad. Together, we devised a plan to create a more functional space for him to work on his railroad, using a wooden worktop supported by attractive storage carts, perfect for storing all the tools and pieces he needed.
This resourceful design took up less space than the dining table and allowed for the room to also serve as his home office.
Personalize your space
Erickson Senior Living communities also offer a wide range of customizations, which can be completed before you even move in, to create additional storage.
Custom closets are one of the most popular examples. Last year, I worked with an artist who had a custom closet with built-ins and drawers installed to hold all her art materials. It even has a place for her to store and dry her canvases!
My goal is to help future residents create beautiful, functional apartment homes that fit their needs.
More outside your door
Because each maintenance-free apartment home also provides access to an array of amenities and clubs, it's easy for residents to adopt an active lifestyle.
From state-of-the-art fitness centers, restaurants, swimming pools, classrooms, libraries, and theaters to outdoor amenities like gardens, dog parks, and walking trails, you can truly do what you like, when you like.
And there's nothing like coming home to an inviting, personalized space at the end of a busy day! Request a brochure today to learn more about bringing your dream apartment home to life.
