Maris Grove seeing more younger residents move in

Younger Baby Boomers are increasingly interested in adopting a carefree lifestyle while they're in good health and can fully enjoy it.

According to Sales Counselor Kim Janson, Maris Grove is receiving more requests for information and tours from prospective residents in their early- to mid-60s. Several have recently reserved apartment homes and moved in shortly after celebrating their sixty-second birthdays, the minimum age for entry into the Glen Mills, Pa., Erickson Living-managed community.

Janson believes the reasons are easy to understand: living at Maris Grove is worry-free, now and in the future.

"If you're still working, you can come home each night to a delicious, restaurant-quality meal without the shopping and preparation, and it's already paid for in your monthly service package," she says. "The amenities and activities are fantastic, so you can be as involved as you like. We have more than 100 clubs, a fully equipped fitness center and indoor swimming pool, and beautiful clubhouses in every neighborhood, perfect for socializing. All home maintenance is taken care of, from changing lightbulbs to any repairs you need."

She adds, "For people who still want to travel, life here is 'lock and go,' meaning that when you leave, your home is 100% secure. People appreciate the freedom and sense of security we provide, so they're looking at Maris Grove earlier than they anticipated."

Move once

Janson notes that many people who might have moved to a 55-plus community and then to Maris Grove are skipping that interim step. "The thought is, 'Why move twice when I can have it all right now?' It's much simpler to settle in once, make lasting friendships, and start living your best life," she says.

The social life at Maris Grove is a powerful draw. With so many clubs and a full roster of daily activities, there's something to interest everyone. Live performances, concerts, movies, guest speakers, and trips are always on the calendar.

Says Janson, "The friendships you make and the activities you engage in create a real sense of community. Those connections are vital to your overall well-being, and are especially important if you don't have family close by."

Campus medical care

Another attractive feature of life at a continuing care retirement community like Maris Grove is the comprehensive medical care available on site.

"Seeing a doctor or picking up prescriptions is so convenient, just steps from your home," Janson says. "And if you ever need higher levels of care—rehabilitation or memory care—those options are right here for you.

"These services provide long-term security for the entire family," says Janson. "If your adult children live across the country, they gain real peace of mind knowing you'll be cared for. If you don't have children, it's even more important to have a long-term care plan in place. We can arrange all the services you'll ever need, if ever you need them."

If you've begun thinking about your next home for life, consider Maris Grove. The spacious apartment homes and amazing amenities might speed up your timetable. Call the sales office at 1-800-520-2916 for a no-obligation personal tour.
