Cedar Crest Staff Appreciation Fund Spreads Cheer to Hourly Staff Members

'Tis the season for cookies, cocoa, cheer—and recognizing staff members who go above and beyond for residents at Cedar Crest, the Erickson Senior Living community in Pompton Plains, NJ, every day!

The 2023 Staff Appreciation Fund (SAF), made possible through generous donations from warm-hearted residents, will be dispersed among eligible employees to thank them for providing industry-leading services that enhance the community's engaging, worry-free lifestyle.

This year alone, Cedar Crest residents contributed $230,000 to the SAF.

"I'd like to extend a huge thank you to all the residents who contributed to the fund this year," said Executive Director Kristen Compton. "It's the relationships between residents and staff that make Cedar Crest the vibrant, welcoming community it is."

At Cedar Crest’s Staff Appreciation celebration held on December 4, Cedar Crest Hill team members enjoyed refreshments, took pictures in the photo booth, and had the opportunity to thank residents for the gift. In addition, staff contributed personalized messages of gratitude to the "Thank You" posters, which are currently on display in the community. 

A total of 856 employees were celebrated and received a distribution from the Fund this year.
