Springfield, Va.) - This year, Greenspring residents have raised $298,000 for the community's Staff Appreciation Fund. The annual campaign is organized by the Resident Life Committee as a way for the residents to say "thank you" to the non-management hourly employees at the community.
"The residents at Greenspring have an overwhelming appreciation for the dedication shown by the employees at the community," said Anita Garifo, Community Resources Manager at Greenspring. "Participating in the Staff Appreciation campaign is just one way that they choose to show their gratitude. Every year at this time, there is truly a feeling of thanksgiving all around."
At Greenspring, eligible employees may include staff from the security team, the grounds crew, the housekeeping staff, the transportation team, the culinary, banquet, and kitchen staff, the maintenance staff, and employees at every level of care at the Continuing Care neighborhood from the nurses to the dining, maintenance, programming, housekeeping and laundry teams, totaling over 900 staff members.
On Tuesday, December 10, Greenspring hosted a Staff Appreciation Fund celebration where residents were able to express their gratitude toward employees and help to distribute donated funds to each eligible employee.
