Sales Counselor Debbie Brumbach has a unique connection to The Grandview, an Erickson Senior Living community coming to Bethesda, Md. "My grandfather was CFO of Marriott, and he worked at the same location where The Grandview is being constructed," she says.

Although Brumbach is new to The Grandview, she worked at Riderwood, another Erickson Senior Living community located in Silver Spring, Md., for 13 years. And even there, she had a family connection as well--one that goes back much further.

"My grandmother was one of the first residents there, so I have known Riderwood since 2000," she recalls. "It was fun seeing the community grow and thrive over the years."

A fresh new beginning

Brumbach brings a wealth of knowledge about the local area to the new community, which she is excited to help build from the "ground up."

"I can't wait to see The Grandview develop from the inside and out," says Brumbach. "And being a part of each step is so rewarding--helping prospective residents envision their new future here, decide what they want their future apartment home to look like, and then move in and get settled."

Brumbach appreciates the opportunity to introduce a new generation to the benefits of Erickson Senior Living communities, which offer an active, worry-free retirement lifestyle and a wide variety of activities and amenities.

"People are excited about being the first residents at The Grandview, and that everything will be brand new," Brumbach says. "Erickson is a very well-known company in the area, so people believe in the lifestyle that we deliver."

The perfect area

Brumbach notes that she is gratified to see such a strong, positive response to The Grandview. Not only are current Bethesda-area residents interested in The Grandview, but people living out-of-state are fond of the new community, as well. Moving closer to children and grandchildren and the desire to experience the area's dynamic atmosphere are two main drivers, she adds.

"Bethesda is such an amazing place on its own--not to mention the proximity to Washington, D.C., and so many other desirable destinations. People recognize how valuable it is to have it all close by," explains Brumbach.

A passion for helping

Brumbach's enthusiasm for her work is shared among her coworkers, at both The Grandview and Riderwood. "I think everyone at Erickson Senior Living has a passion for what we do--helping people start the next chapter in their lives in a vibrant, new environment," she says.

Brumbach lives in nearby Olney with her husband Dave and their two children.
