Events Showcase The Grandview's Future Lifestyle and Amenities

The Grandview, an Erickson Senior Living community coming to Bethesda, Md., will welcome its first residents this fall. Whether you are among them or are looking ahead to a move in 2026, the community is holding informational events to keep you up to date.
"Providing accurate, timely information to our Priority List members and reservists is incredibly important," says Tyler Trudeau, a sales associate at The Grandview.
Reservists are those who have already chosen their home in the first residence building, Potomac Heights. Priority List members are either on the wait list for Potomac Heights or are looking ahead to the second residence building, Woodmont Terrace, which will open in fall 2026 with reservations beginning this fall.
"Our goal is to provide a great community atmosphere before we even open the doors at The Grandview," Trudeau adds, "so we're holding fun gatherings, as well, encouraging Priority List members and reservists to come and make new friends."
Lots to learn
A recent expo for Priority List members and reservists held at the Bethesda Marriott Conference Center included two presentations by George Mishraky, The Grandview's sales director.
"What's on the Horizon at The Grandview" provided updates on upcoming plans and dates, while "The Reservation Process--The Next 12 Months" spoke to those planning a move to Potomac Heights.
Attendees enjoyed presentations, delicious food, introductions to preferred vendors, and the unveiling of renderings and floor plans for Woodmont Terrace.
Meet and greet
Social events have helped Priority List members meet others, many of whom will be their future neighbors and discover shared interests.
"We recently hosted ‘Shred It and Barbecue,' a barbecue event where over 150 attendees shredded unwanted documents, and a comedy show," notes Trudeau. "All Erickson Senior Living communities offer a vibrant lifestyle and opportunities to socialize, and these events reflect that. Since we are a brand-new community, everyone is eager to make lots of friends before they move in."
Thanks to these social events, 14 resident clubs--focused on topics like computers, fitness, meditation, knitting, painting, and travel--have already formed. One new club, started by a Priority List member for singles to gather and chat, has become very popular.
"This year, we will start holding additional social events for reservists based on which floor they will be living on, so they can get to know the people who will live closest to them. It's all about fostering that sense of community," he says.
Excitement is building
Trudeau notes that Potomac Heights is almost completely reserved, and there are already hundreds on the Priority List who are interested in Woodmont Terrace.
"If you want The Grandview to be your home, whether it's this year, next year, or even further in the future, it's important to get on the Priority List," he urges, adding that the $1,000 deposit is fully refundable, if you ultimately decide to move somewhere else.
"Also, keep in mind that if a residence becomes available, but it's not your desired floor plan or you are not ready to move, you don't lose your place in line. We will work with you and your timeline," Trudeau explains. "And if you are on the Priority List but not yet a reservist, a desired floor plan may become available sooner than you think, as people can change their minds."
With the first retirees moving to The Grandview this fall, the anticipation is really building.
"People are so excited to move in, and the team here is equally excited for them!" he says.
