Ashby Ponds, an Erickson Senior Living community in Ashburn, Va., launched the construction of its 110,000-square-foot continuing care neighborhood expansion.
The new four-story assisted living and memory care building, Orchard Terrace, will feature 109 apartments consisting of studio, one, and two-bedroom apartments, amenity spaces, and enclosed courtyards. The community expects to welcome residents to Orchard Terrace in 2025.
“Orchard Terrace will provide the continuum of care services to Ashby Ponds residents and local seniors for years to come,” stated Tom Channon, Executive Director. “We will continue to provide residents with quality and compassionate care right here on campus should they need it.”
Amenities at Orchard Terrace will include activity and programming spaces, family kitchens, living rooms, a library, bistro, restaurant, fitness room, sun porches, and an interior courtyard with a variety of features including outdoor dining, fireplace, and bocce ball. A rooftop terrace provides access to outdoor spaces for residents of the memory care neighborhood.
The architect for the project is SFCS Architects and Davis Construction is serving as the general contractor.
