Windsor Run’s Staff Appreciation Fund Brightens the Holidays for Eligible Staff

December 8, 2021

Residents of Windsor Run, an Erickson Senior Living community located in Matthews, North Carolina, recently made the holiday season a bit merrier for eligible staff by contributing to the 2021 Staff Appreciation Fund.

The annual Staff Appreciation Fund campaign is an opportunity for Windsor Run residents to thank the hourly employees who consistently go above and beyond to provide a variety of services. This year, more than 93 percent of residents contributed to the campaign. The checks were distributed to 121 employees at an all-day special event, complete with delicious treats and hot cocoa, held on December 7.

“The Staff Appreciation Fund is another way in which the caring culture of Windsor Run comes to life,” described George Comfort, Executive Director. “We appreciate the amazing generosity and kindness displayed by our residents, matching last year’s participation. This is especially noteworthy given all of the activity on campus with the opening of our continuing care neighborhood and a new independent living building. It’s been a fantastic year at Windsor Run, and we look forward to more growth and memorable moments in 2022.”

Each holiday season, the funds are distributed among eligible employees, which include dining associates, security officers, maintenance workers, housekeepers, and medical and nursing assistants—just to name a handful.
