Residents and Priority List Members of Windsor Run in Matthews, North Carolina are anticipating the next independent living residence at the Erickson Senior Living community.

Windsor Run, an Erickson Senior Living community in Matthews, N.C., has begun construction on Park View, the eighth residence building on the bustling, 60-acre campus!

"We are thrilled to meet the strong demand for the community's vibrant, worry-free lifestyle with 93 new homes," says Sales Director Ryan Barkley. "Current residents are eager to welcome and get to know their new Park View neighbors."

New floor plans

Each residence in Park View will feature an open layout; modern kitchens with quartz countertops and stainless-steel appliances; full-size, side-by-side washers and dryers; walk-in closets; and custom flooring and light fixtures. Many of the homes will also boast a screened porch.

In addition to the community's most popular floor plans, Park View will debut two new two-bedroom, two-bath layouts, developed with input from current and prospective residents.

The Washington boasts a spacious living area, ideal for relaxing and entertaining; a sunroom located directly off the large kitchen; and a screened porch overlooking Windsor Run's beautifully landscaped grounds.

The Madison also features a screened porch as well as a bright, open living area; primary bedroom with a large walk-in closet; and a spacious second bedroom, perfect for a home office, media room, or craft space.

Amenities coming to Park View include a classroom, game room, and satellite fitness room.

Mary Lynn Sedivec appreciates the many benefits of moving to a new residence building. She and her husband Dale moved into Fullwood Ridge, another residence building at Windsor Run, last summer from Concord, N.C.

She recalls that they were immediately impressed when they toured the community.

"There were so many wonderful things about our visit," says Mary Lynn. "Our first positive impression was how many residents were out in the community, engaged in games and other activities. And all the residents we met were happy and friendly, stopping us to say hello. That really stood out to us."

She continues, "Then, when we met with the sales team, it was amazing how well they understood what we wanted and how much information they had available to share with us immediately."

As soon as they returned home from their visit, they received an email from the sales team detailing the floor plans that best matched their preferences.

"We were provided with lots of information including layouts, location, and price. It was incredible," says Mary Lynn. "We looked through it all and decided we wanted to see the two-bedroom, two-bath Hawthorne. We scheduled a tour for the next day. We were so impressed that we signed the contract that day!"

Welcomed home

As the Sedivecs prepared for their move, members of the sales team ensured they had all the help and information they needed to experience a seamless transition to the community.

"They were certainly there to help us," says Mary Lynn. "When we signed the contract, they gave us a notebook filled with information and next steps. Throughout the process, they checked in with us to see if we needed additional support. And, in the weeks leading up to our move, we had several interviews and meetings where they asked about our interests. That really made us feel like we would be part of the community right away."

Like all new Windsor Run residents, the couple was greeted by their new neighbors as well as members of the Welcome Committee.

"Everyone was friendly and helpful, stopping by to say hello and invite us to dinner," says Mary Lynn.

Less than a year after their move, the Sedivecs are enjoying a lifestyle that is even better than they imagined. Mary Lynn partnered with another new resident to start a genealogy interest group, is an active member of the Women of Windsor, and volunteers her keyboard talents at Catholic services.

Overjoyed with the welcome she and Dale received following their move, Mary Lynn also signed up for the Welcome Committee.

"Dale and I felt welcome from the moment we first walked onto campus," she says. "I'm excited to make other people feel the way we did."

See for yourself

With demand at an all-time high for Windsor Run's vibrant lifestyle, Barkley suggests scheduling a visit to the community this summer and joining the Priority List to secure your spot in line for Park View.

"There is never any pressure during a tour or an appointment with a sales team member," he says. "It's just a wonderful opportunity to learn more about our community and, if you desire, a chance to reserve a home at the new Park View."
