Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for Continuing Care Neighborhood at Highland Springs Set for March 27th

DALLAS, TX---News media representatives are invited to attend the ribbon cutting ceremony for the new continuing care neighborhood of Highland Springs, the Erickson Living retirement community located in North Dallas, on March 27 at 5:00pm.  Come see how Highland Springs is meeting the demand for senior living in the Dallas region.
The continuing care neighborhood features 108 spacious suites/apartments, including assisted living, memory care, short-term rehabilitation and long-term nursing care services.  Spacious common areas, in-room dining options, screened-in porches and gardens are among the amenities that contribute to a patient-centered, holistic approach to health and wellness.
The new neighborhood incorporates the integrated health care model developed by Erickson Health.  Full-time physicians, electronic medical records and training for all employees serving residents in the continuing care neighborhood have resulted in geriatric health care metrics that exceed national averages across the Erickson enterprise.
The project is also a major job creator in the Richardson/Plano area as 92 employees will be hired to serve residents and guests.  The positions range from health care professionals (registered nurses and certified nurse's aides) to concierge, programming, maintenance and food service employees.
Local elected officials and business leaders will be on hand.  Boone Powell, former president and chief executive officer of Baylor Health Care Systems & former chairman for the Health Industry Council in Dallas, will serve as the keynote speaker.
