Highland Springs Residents Contribute More Than $346,000 to Staff Appreciation Fund

December 8, 2021

Residents of Highland Springs, an Erickson Senior Living community located in Dallas, recently made the holiday season a bit merrier for eligible employees by contributing more than $346,000 to the 2021 Staff Appreciation Fund.

The annual Staff Appreciation Fund campaign is an opportunity for Highland Springs residents to thank the hourly employees who consistently go above and beyond to provide a variety of services that enhance the daily lives of residents. Checks were distributed to 335 staff members during three separate occasions on December 6.

“Our residents displayed a tremendous amount of generosity in recognition of the dedicated employees of Highland Springs,” stated Matt Neville, Executive Director. “Throughout the year, residents donated to the Staff Appreciation Fund in appreciation of the wonderful work our employees do.  It’s one more amazing way to thank our team for their commitment and creativity in helping residents live better lives.”

Each holiday season, the funds are distributed among eligible employees, which include dining associates, security officers, maintenance workers, housekeepers, and medical and nursing assistants—just to name a handful.

“I enjoy interacting with so many great people—both residents and my coworkers at Highland Springs,” said Exavier Collins, a dining services employee. “It feels great to be celebrated by residents, and we certainly appreciate their support.”
