Highland Springs Resident Group Talks Texas Issues with State Representative Jeff Leach

DALLAS, TX---The resident-led Government Affairs Group of Highland Springs hosted Texas State Representative Jeff Leach (R-67th) for a legislative update on November 21st.
Fifty residents of the Erickson Living retirement community attended the event.  They had the opportunity to ask questions following the presentation of Representative Leach whose topics included education, transportation and water issues facing Texas.
"We sincerely thank Representative Leach for taking the time to visit Highland Springs," stated Herb Hoxie, a resident member of the Government Affairs Group.  "Our membership is very tuned into current events, and his remarks gave us additional insight into local and statewide issues."
A non-partisan entity, the Government Affairs Group at Highland Springs meets monthly.  Guest speakers range from elected officials to the news makers of Texas.
Rep. Leach serves on the House Committee on Criminal Jurisprudence, the House Committee on Urban Affairs and the House Committee on Rules and Resolutions.  His district includes portions of Plano, Allen, Richardson and Dallas in Collin County.
