Construction of New Independent Living Resident Building Underway at Highland Springs

June 5, 2014

DALLAS, TX---Highland Springs, the Erickson Living retirement community, announced today the future addition of Willow Ridge, a new independent living building currently under construction.
The $21.3 million project will feature 99 residences with fourteen fresh floor plan designs that vary in style from luxury two-bedroom to extra-large one-bedroom homes.  Amenities include stainless steel appliances, granite countertops and upgraded flooring options.
It will also have underbuilding parking and new multipurpose space to be utilized for campus events such as worship services, dances, performances and more.
Willow Ridge is currently scheduled to open in the spring of 2015.  Dallas-based JHP Architecture is the project architect, and Brinkmann Constructors is the general contractor.
Jennifer O'Reilly serves as the Director of Sales at Highland Springs.  "This is an exciting time for Highland Springs.  We have been completely reserved this year, a testament to the demand for the active lifestyle and amenities our residents enjoy, the convenience of our on-site health & wellness offerings and our ideal location in the Dallas metroplex," stated Ms. O'Reilly.  "The floor plan designs are based on thorough customer feedback, and we anticipate that these new homes will be reserved quickly."
A major component of the project is the planned upscale landscaping designs.  The Texas wildflower and butterfly garden will contain native flowers and plants, including Indian paintbrush, blue bonnets and primrose.
"Our 89-acre campus has always been a unique selling point of Highland Springs," noted Ms. O'Reilly.  "Residents enjoy experiencing the outdoors within the convenience and safety of our gated community.  That tradition will continue at Willow Ridge with bird fountains, garden sculptures and a winding walking path---and many of the new homes will have views of this scenery."
Willow Ridge will be connected by a climate controlled walkway to the main clubhouse of Highland Springs.  Amenities and services such as restaurants, the medical center, a convenience store, salon and bank are found in the clubhouse.  A continuing care neighborhood provides 108 residences offering assisted living, memory care, post-acute rehabilitation and nursing care services.
