Looking for a new career path with a company that cares about your well-being and your future? Highland Springs, an Erickson Senior Living community in North Dallas, Tex., offers team members a generous and unique package of attractive benefits, including paid leave, health insurance, retirement, and health and well-being incentives, while supporting personal career goals.

“Erickson benefits go beyond our wonderful medical, dental, and vision plans, which all have affordable options,” says April Garcia, Highland Springs human resources director. “We also offer our Wellness Fund, Health Advocate, MDLIVE, and more!”

Since 1983, our growing, nationwide network of communities has delivered on our mission—helping people live better lives. As one of the most respected names in senior living, those driven to make a difference thrive, every day, in Erickson careers.

“Embracing the culture, team members use their passions and talents helping residents and colleagues live better lives,” says Nicole Walker, senior vice president of human resources. “Erickson Senior Living recognizes the invaluable contributions employees make, providing them a robust package of benefits reflecting our commitment to financial stability, health and well-being, and work-life balance.”

Highland Springs’s comprehensive rewards go beyond typical employee benefits and include tuition reimbursement, company-matched 401Ks, generous paid time off, online training, advancement opportunities, on-site employee health and well-being centers, discount programs, pet insurance, and more!

“Once an employee shares their goals with their leaders, we help create individualized career development plans,” Garcia says. “Whether that means growing in their current field, such as dining, or, expanding to another. We launched our first Mentorship Experience program recently, and have already seen success stories.”

A success story

Joshua Smith started at Highland Springs in December 2007 as a security officer, and moved up through many positions, including assistant security and EMS supervisor, accounting office coordinator, and business office manager. His current position is community financial analyst.

“My life has been enhanced by Erickson’s benefits,” Joshua says. “Health and wellness benefits along with paid-time off allow me a great work-life balance, prioritizing my health and overall well-being.”

Joshua took advantage of Erickson’s tuition reimbursement assistance, achieving his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business administration.

“The assistance was pivotal in my educational pursuits, while taking out minimal student loans, which I have been fortunate enough to pay off,” Joshua says. “And the annual Wellness Fund reimbursement has been a great resource.”

Joshua appreciates his paid time off, too, which he calls “a tremendous benefit,” affording time for family, or just rest and relaxation.

Numerous benefits

Erickson Senior Living offers unique rewards to help team members like Joshua bring their best selves to work each day, including Annual Well-Being Visits, complimentary check-ups, free access to wellness workshops, fitness challenges, health trackers and more via the Health Advocate app.

The Wellness Fund, for employees enrolled in an Erickson Senior Living medical plan, offers up to $260 in reimbursement for personal wellness expenses like home exercise equipment, fitness classes, athletic shoes, weight loss programs, and more. Plus, MDLIVE offers the opportunity to connect with licensed therapists.

Approaching his 16-year mark with Highland Springs, Joshua says he’s “grown up,” in the community. “I like the connections I’ve made with residents and colleagues, the career growth I’ve been fortunate enough to experience, and the overall family atmosphere that organically developed over the years.”
