But have you taken advantage of Erickson Realty and Moving Services? This program, only available to Priority List members of Erickson Senior Living communities, ensures that future residents experience a stress-free move--from staging and selling to downsizing and packing.

"We have an experienced team in place to help you make a smooth transition," says Adam Zubowsky, sales director for Emerson Lakes. "We offer a variety of resources and personally guide our future residents through the entire process."

The support you need
For Emerson Lakes' Priority List members, Erickson Realty and Moving Services offers a list of preferred real estate agents in the Lakewood Ranch, Fla., area who are experienced in helping older adults sell their houses.

"We've met with, screened, and vetted these real estate agents before they begin working with us and our Priority List members," Zubowsky explains. "If you have not sold a house in a while, you may not be familiar with the current market or have an existing relationship with a real estate agent. This is where our recommendations can be really helpful."

He adds, "Our preferred real estate agents are familiar with Emerson Lakes, and they already have great relationships with our sales team members. That understanding and communication goes a long way."

Don't know where to start? The real estate agent you select will help. They know the best times to sell, based on your residential area, which will result in a quick sale once your house is listed.

While downsizing might seem like a tall task, your real estate agent can provide resources to help you determine what is best to bring to your new home, what you can sell, and what you could donate.

Making the move
Erickson Realty and Moving Services can also offer a list of local moving companies, vetted for quality service and client satisfaction.

"The preferred moving companies we work with do a great job. They've helped many people move to senior communities," Zubowsky says. "We have options that are more economically priced and just focus on the move, and we have companies that offer white glove service for those who want the packing, moving, and unpacking all handled by professionals."

He continues, "Regardless of your timeline, now is a good time to have them visit your house so you can start personally vetting them and getting estimates. This way, when the community opens, you'll already have your preferred real estate agent and moving company selected."

‘Simpler, smoother'
As the program rolls out this year, Emerson Lakes' sales team will host events to introduce the community's preferred real estate agents. This allows Priority List members to meet with them and ask questions, if they're interested.

As Emerson Lakes gets closer to the completion of its first phase of construction, more information regarding these events will be shared.

"We want to help people move forward and address any questions well in advance," says Zubowsky.

Priority List members who decide to work with one of our preferred real estate agents will receive up to $2,000 in reimbursement of their moving expenses.

"But there's really more value than just the reimbursement," says Zubowsky. "The regular communication between the sales team and our real estate agents gives future residents a better experience--we handle all the details and logistics."

He adds, "It makes the entire process of becoming an Emerson Lakes resident simpler, smoother, and more enjoyable!"
