Sales Events Are a Great Introduction to Emerson Lakes

To introduce seniors to the active, vibrant lifestyle coming to Emerson Lakes, the Erickson Senior Living community planned for Lakewood Ranch, Fla., the sales team is hosting a variety of social and informational events.
"It's important to do your research and know as much as possible about your options!" says Sales Director Adam Zubowsky. "Our events give seniors a chance to learn more about Emerson Lakes and everything that will be available to them on campus."
What many attendees happily discover is that living at an Erickson Senior Living community adds fun, freedom, and peace of mind to retirement living.
A warm welcome
Seniors visiting Emerson Lakes' Sales and Information Center for the first time are invited to attend a luncheon hosted by the sales team.
In addition to enjoying a delicious meal, prospective residents meet the team, learn about the community's maintenance-free apartment homes, and explore a model kitchen--complete with updated appliances and sample finishes and countertops.
Visitors also have the opportunity to join the Priority List, which secures your spot in line for your desired apartment home. Members receive exclusive invites to social gatherings, construction updates, and the inside scoop on community resources, as well.
"A refundable $1,000 deposit adds your name to our Priority List," says Zubowsky. "It's a risk-free way to learn more about everything Emerson Lakes!"
He adds, "Our social events also give members a chance to meet others on the Priority List who might become their neighbors one day. We've seen lots of long-term friendships blossom after these gatherings."
Behind the scenes
All of the fun and informational events held at the Sales and Information Center are planned by Sydney Ditto, sales and marketing associate for Emerson Lakes.
Before joining Emerson Lakes in November, Ditto studied physical therapy and worked in several rehabilitation centers--in her hometown of Charlotte, N.C., and in nearby Sarasota.
"I think that's what really drew me to work with seniors," Ditto says. "As a physical therapist, I learned about multiple levels of care, including the health care offered at continuing care retirement communities. When we were making plans for someone after their therapy was complete, I would suggest what living situation would be best for them."
Forming meaningful relationships and keeping seniors' best interests in mind have always been priorities for Ditto.
"This role is a great match for me," she explains. "I love talking with people and learning about their goals for retirement, so I can help them determine if Emerson Lakes would be a good fit. Many visitors are pleased to hear that Emerson Lakes offers everything they need to grow and flourish!"
A sense of community
Ditto appreciates the opportunity to help build the new community of Emerson Lakes. The events she plans focus on helping prospective residents and Priority List members not only meet each other but discover common interests.
"Without buildings to tour and clubs to drop in on, Sales and Information Center visitors can't see the Erickson Senior Living lifestyle firsthand," explains Ditto. "Instead, I aim to create the vibrant atmosphere by helping future residents establish clubs, like card game and musical groups, early on--before the community even opens."
In working so closely with prospective residents, Ditto reassures everyone that they can count on her to answer questions and find their future home.
"I want them to feel comfortable talking to me and trusting me during this process," she says.
"Sydney works hard to ensure guests have a good experience and that they keep interacting with us and their potential future neighbors," Zubowsky adds. "We do everything we can to help them with this decision!"
Looking ahead
When she's not busy planning the next event, Ditto is probably playing in a sand volleyball league or competing in a weekly pickleball game. She's also a fan of the beach, where she's often found reading and spending time with friends.
"I'm happy doing anything outdoors," she says. "I love the heat!"
And she's not the only one--her shepherd mix, Callie, loves spending time on her boat, and her cat, Bueller, enjoys basking in the sun and chasing geckos.
Combine the enjoyment of Sarasota with the excitement of the new opportunities at Emerson Lakes, and it's the perfect fit for Ditto--and the community's future residents.
"I'm thrilled to be a part of this community from the very beginning," she says. "I can't wait to see the people we meet living out their dreams at Emerson Lakes."
