Making the move

One recent long-distance move from New York City to Avery Point, an Erickson Senior Living community in Short Pump, Va., required several days of careful packing and coordination. 

"We make sure we understand exactly what they will be bringing, so we can pack everything accordingly," Dalzell notes. 

As the process unfolded, the incoming residents grew increasingly comfortable with the moving team. Team members thoroughly answered their questions, and it was evident that their belongings were being handled with the utmost care.
