Be Prepared for A Quick Home Sale

U.S. home prices continue to increase, maintaining a strong seller's market well into 2025, according to the latest S&P CoreLogic Case-Shiller Home Price Index, which tracks single-family home values. 

This translates into fierce competition among buyers, who are making multiple solid offers--some even above asking price. As a result, many homes are selling quicker than their sellers anticipate!

This is great news for retirees interested in moving to an Erickson Senior Living community. First, I recommend joining the Priority List at your desired Erickson Senior Living community. Priority List membership will give you access to the community's planning and moving consultant as well as additional resources. 

Once you connect with the planning and moving consultant, they'll offer to schedule a home visit. This important step allows us to get to know you better, preview floor plans, and discuss your ideal timeline. 

Home visits also create opportunities for us to share our lists of preferred vendors--real estate agents, senior move managers, and moving companies, all of whom have extensive experience working with incoming Erickson Senior Living residents.

Their knowledge of the housing market in your area and powerful partnerships with local real estate agents and moving companies prove to be invaluable, especially when you're looking for a quick sale. 

Because there are currently fewer homes for sale than there are buyers, most sellers can expect to receive a high price for their house. However, it also means that, despite the best laid plans, a home may sell more quickly than anticipated. If this is the case, we'll work to adjust your plans as necessary!

Once you accept an offer, our preferred vendors will be there to help you every step of the way--from decluttering and packing to executing a seamless move into your new home. 

After the move-related details are nailed down, we can spend our time together working on the "fun stuff"--everything from selecting small updates, like paint and furnishings, to deciding exactly where your furniture will go.
