Oak Crest’s Continuing Care Neighborhood Receives “Best Nursing Home” Designation by Newsweek

Parkville, Maryland—The continuing care neighborhood of Oak Crest received a Best Nursing Home designation for 2020 by Newsweek, available exclusively at https://www.newsweek.com/best-nursing-homes-2020.
To create this easy-to-use resource, Newsweek evaluated more than 15,000 nursing homes in 20 states, partnering with respected global data research firm Statista Inc. to establish a ranking of the 400 Best Nursing Homes across the nation.
According to Newsweek, the analysis was based on recommendations from medical experts and three performance-based criteria (health inspections, staffing and quality measures) from data compiled by the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

The continuing care neighborhood at Oak Crest offers assisted living, memory care, long-term care and in-patient rehabilitation services with a focus on person-centered care. Newsweek noted that, by 2030, the 65+ age demographic will account for more than 20 percent of the total United States population.
