Oak Crest Featured by The Beacon Newspaper

Oak Crest, a continuing care retirement community developed and managed by Erickson Senior Living in Parkville, Md., was featured in an article published by The Beacon. 

The article, entitled "Oak Crest Celebrates its 30th Anniversary" highlights the various ways the community has celebrated this milestone, along with its history of opening. Featuring interviews with Senior Sales Associate Laurie Bender and resident Keith Derrickson, the story emphasizes the many wonderful aspects of living and working at Oak Crest. To celebrate, the Erickson Senior Living community hosted a “Pioneer Brunch” in January, which recognized three residents and six employees who have been with Oak Crest since its opening in 1995.

One of those staffers is Laurie Bender, senior sales associate, who started working at Oak Crest six months after it opened.

“It’s just the warmest place. People are so kind to each other. It’s very down-to-earth; it’s very welcoming,” said Bender, who helps people move into the community.
