‘Tis the season for cookies, cocoa, cheer—and showing appreciation for team members who go above and beyond for residents at Oak Crest, the Erickson Senior Living community in Parkville, Md., every day!
The 2023 Employee Appreciation Fund, made possible through generous contributions from warm-hearted residents in recognition of the year-round efforts of hourly staff. Each holiday season, Oak Crest residents contribute to the fund with enthusiasm and gratitude.
This year was no exception with residents contributing more than $270,000. Their generosity made holiday bonuses possible for nearly 800 team members, including dining associates, security officers, maintenance workers, housekeepers, and medical and nursing assistants.
This month, Oak Crest held festive events throughout the community to provide residents with the opportunity to express in person their gratitude for all that employees do throughout the year to provide best-in-class service that enhances Oak Crest’s engaging, worry-free lifestyle.
“Oak Crest is a wonderful place to grow your career,” says Joy Curbean-Johnson, director of human resources at the community. “Not only are you supported by leadership and fellow coworkers, but you have the opportunity to form lasting friendships with the residents you serve every day.”
“I’d like to extend a huge thank you to all the residents who contributed to the fund this year,” says executive director Mark Roussey. “It’s the relationships between residents and staff that make Oak Crest the vibrant, welcoming community it is.”
