PARKVILLE, MD---Oak Crest, the Erickson Living retirement community in Baltimore, announced the hiring of Jim Antonakos as the Director of Sales.
Mr. Antonakos brings nearly eight years of senior living experience to Oak Crest, where he began his career as Health Insurance Resource Manager for Erickson Advantage, the Medicare Advantage plan offered to Erickson Living residents.
In 2011, he was promoted to Director of Philanthropy at Charlestown, the Erickson Living retirement community in Catonsville.
In his new leadership position at Oak Crest, Mr. Antonakos will be responsible for daily supervision of the community sales operation. Opened in 1995, the 87-acre campus in Parkville is managed and developed by Baltimore-based Erickson Living and features world-class amenities and comprehensive health and wellness services.
Oak Crest has 1,520 apartment homes in a variety of one- and two-bedroom floor plans with custom design and affordable pricing options. The current occupancy rate is 99 percent, well above the industry average.

Mr. Antonakos resides in the Hamilton section of Baltimore with his wife, Melinda, and daughters Callie and Avery. He is active with Grace Fellowship Church, leading a young adult group. He received the American Red Cross Central Maryland Chapter' s Hometown Heroes Chairman's Award in 2006 for extensive volunteer service in post-Katrina Mississippi.
