Erickson Senior Living Appoints Melinda Dechert as Senior Vice President of Human Resources

Erickson Senior Living today announced that Melinda Dechert has been named senior vice president of human resources, a key leadership role overseeing the organization’s people strategy, culture development, and enterprise-wide human resources operations. 

“With more than a decade of leadership experience at Erickson Senior Living, Melinda brings deep operational experience, a passion for developing people, and the ability to thoughtfully guide our culture as we continue to grow,” said Gregg Colon, chief operating officer. “Her extensive experience across operations, health care, and employee engagement makes her exceptionally well-suited to lead our HR organization into the future.”

Dechert brings a multidisciplinary background shaped by more than a decade of leadership within Erickson Senior Living communities. Most recently, she served as vice president, regional operations, where she supported enterprise growth, strengthened community operations, and partnered with leaders across Erickson’s national enterprise. Prior to that, she served as regional vice president of health care and associate executive director at Ann’s Choice, an Erickson Senior Living community in Warminster, Pa., where she gained firsthand operational insight across multiple facets of the senior living experience.
