Erickson Senior Living, a leading developer and manager of continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs), announced that Cheryl Jones has been selected as a new regional vice president of human resources, effective November 28.
In this leadership position, she will support Erickson Senior Living-managed communities in Florida, Maryland, Michigan, and North Carolina.
Jones has lifelong experience with the company as she began as a dining services student at age 14 at Charlestown in Catonsville, MD, where she was a scholars’ fund recipient. She pursued a career in senior living and eventually served as the skilled nursing administrative manager at Greenspring in Springfield, VA and later, a human resources manager and senior business analyst at Erickson Senior Living.

For the last 15 years, Jones has enjoyed an impressive career, holding senior leadership roles in human resources at CRISP Shared Services in Columbia, MD, and most recently, as vice president of employee experience and operations at CommunicateHealth in Rockville, MD.
Jones holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from Spelman College and dual master’s degrees in health administration and business administration from the University of Florida.
She resides in Bowie, MD, with her husband, Jawanza, and three daughters and is active in serving the local community as a board member for Healthcare Access Maryland and the Greenway Learning Center.
