Erickson Senior Living Named as a Top 5 Largest Senior Living Provider in U.S.

July 2, 2024
Woodleigh Chase, the new Erickson Senior Living community in Fairfax, Virginia, opened in March of 2024.

Erickson Senior Living, a nation-leading developer and manager of continuing care retirement communities, has been named among Argentum’s 150 largest senior living providers.

Argentum is the leading national trade association serving companies that own, operate, and support professionally managed senior living communities. Each year, Argentum publishes its Largest Providers Report, ranking providers in size by number of units, number of employees, types of care and services offered, and more.

With 24,326 units across its national network of communities, Erickson Senior Living ranks fifth on the 2024 list. Among independent living providers, Erickson ranks third with 22,261 units.

“In 2023, we had the privilege of welcoming more than 4,000 new residents to our network of senior living communities,” said Alan Butler, chief executive officer. “We see first-hand the benefits of the active, vibrant lifestyle that they are now enjoying at our communities, and we are eager to continue bringing that way of life to even more seniors across the country.”

Last year, Erickson Senior Living once again achieved industry-leading occupancy rates and a record-setting number of settlements. The company is investing billions to meet the growing demand for its products and services, particularly among the emerging Baby Boomer generation of customers.

The company’s growth trajectory continued with the March 2024 opening of Woodleigh Chase, a brand-new continuing care retirement community in Fairfax, Virginia. Development is underway on Emerson Lakes, a new community in Sarasota, Fla., and The Grandview, Erickson Senior Living’s first vertical living community, in Bethesda, Md.
