Erickson Health Medical Group Quality Indicator Dashboard Raises Quality of Healthcare Services

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND ---June 1, 2012---IDG's CIO magazine today announces Erickson Living,  a leading national developer and manager of full-service retirement communities, as a recipient of the 2012 CIO 100.  The 25th annual award program recognizes organizations around the world that exemplify the highest level of operational and strategic excellence in information technology (IT).
Erickson Living's recognition is based on its innovation in creating a Health Group quality indicator dashboard that utilizes Microsoft SQL Server to aggregate information and data sources, including GE's Centricity Electronic Medical Record system.  Specific quality measure categories designed into the dashboard include: Prevention; Coordination of Care; Disease Management; Medication Management and Patient Safety; and, Falls Management.  The immediate and actionable information delivered into these data avenues provides for quality measure comparisons that have a direct impact on improving quality of resident care. "The Erickson Health Medical Group Dashboard facilitates quality improvement and contributes to Erickson Living campuses being considered among the very best places in the nation for seniors to successfully age," said Dr. Matthew Narrett, M.D., Chief Medical Officer.  "Our target goals for medical practices exceed national performance measures and represent the highest quality geriatric care."
"This innovative provider dashboard is a reflection of the aligned efforts of Erickson Living IT and Health Group professionals in delivering high quality integrated health care, based on core metrics and performance indicators," said, John F. Triscoli, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer.  "Information technology has the potential to not only improve performance, but also lives."
