Erickson Senior Living Named Among Washington Post’s Top Workplaces 2020

October 20, 2020

Leader in senior living recognized for exceptional company culture

October 20, 2020 -- Erickson Living, a nation-leading developer and manager of senior living communities, has been awarded a Top Workplaces honor by The Washington Post. Specifically, the organization was ranked No. 15 among the largest organizations, those with 999 and more employees. More than 3,500 area companies participated in this year's survey, The Post's seventh annual.

"We are honored to be recognized as a Washington Post 2020 Top Workplace," said Alan Butler, Erickson Living's chief executive officer. "Earning a Top Workplaces ranking is a reflection of our One Team culture and the manner in which our dedicated team of professionals have a shared passion for embracing new challenges and delivering exceptional customer service."

With three communities in the Washington, D.C. area; Greenspring, in Springfield, Va., Ashby Ponds, in Ashburn, Va., and Riderwood, in Silver Spring, Md.; Erickson Living was recognized for providing dynamic and rewarding environments for its career professionals.

"I feel I am making a difference in the lives of seniors," one employee said in a survey. "We get to see firsthand how a community like Riderwood improves their lives from the moment they move in."

The Washington Post's Top Workplaces list is determined solely on employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage, LLC, a leading provider of technology-based employee engagement tools. Employees from Riderwood, Ashby Ponds and Greenspring completed the anonymous survey, which measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, engagement and connection, just to name a few.
