Devonshire Generosity Brings the Magic of the Holidays to Local Children

December 20, 2021

This month, community members at Devonshire at PGA National, an Erickson Senior Living community at PGA National, are collecting hundreds of toys in support of the local West Palm Beach Marine Toys for Tots program.

"The collection is an important annual tradition at Devonshire," says manager of resident services Marty Bores. "Our community members enjoy shopping for, and donating, these special gifts, each of which will help make the holidays magical for children in need."

Devonshire is collecting the new, unwrapped toys, valued up to $25, from December 3rd to December 17th at the community clubhouse.

This spirit of generosity illustrates the strong bonds of community and volunteerism flourishing at Erickson Senior Living communities.

“Even during this busy time of the year, residents are so generous with their time, talents and treasures, not only to do good in the world, but to also feel good in the world,” said Jeff Watson, Erickson Senior Living’s Director of Operations. It’s this spirit of kindness that always radiates throughout our campuses and enables those who call Devonshire home to make a joyful difference in the lives of so many.”

Presently, the Marine Toys for Tots Program distributes an average of 18 million toys to 7 million less fortunate children annually.
