Devonshire, the Erickson Senior Living community at PGA National in Palm Beach Gardens, Fla., celebrated its silver anniversary with a week of events including live entertainment, black tie bingo, a comedy show, the Rat Pack Show, and the 25th Anniversary Gala!  Palm Beach Gardens Mayor Chelsea Reed, Palm Beach Gardens Vice Mayor Dana Middleton, and Palm Beach County Vice Mayor Maria Marino attended the Gala.

"The excitement here was palpable," says Executive Director Brad Andrus. "We had a lineup of fantastic events planned all week long."

While Devonshire has witnessed a lot of change in the last 25 years, one thing remains the same: its vibrant, caring atmosphere.

"What strikes me--and anyone who has visited Devonshire--the most is the engaging, friendly people who call Devonshire home," says Andrus. "For over two decades, community members have started numerous clubs and activities, dazzled us with their talents in concerts, plays, and art galleries, and graciously volunteered their time in our local community. That's what makes Devonshire so special."

Investing in the future

Many of the most notable upgrades have happened in the last few years, as Erickson Senior Living provided a multimillion-dollar investment to support the addition of enhanced amenities and services in its communities across the country.

Devonshire's clubhouse--a 65,000-square-foot epicenter of community life--is in the process of being renovated. With strides toward a new lounge area, refreshed entrances to all five community restaurants, and reimagined sales and marketing offices, Devonshire is truly buzzing with energy.

"We work diligently to update our buildings and amenities to meet the needs of current and future community members," explains Andrus. "Their feedback gives our projects direction."

'Fresh and beautiful'

And there's lots more to come, Andrus says. This year, new health and fitness options, including a golf simulator, indoor pickleball, a croquet and putting green, and exercise classes, will be added.

"We're also introducing a new IT Tech Bar, designed to assist community members with any of their electronic devices," he says. "Our lecture series with Florida Atlantic University is really popular, so we look forward to offering even more presentations in 2024."

Time to celebrate

"Community members were really looking forward to the 25th Anniversary Cocktail Event and the visiting entertainment from all around Palm Beach Gardens," he adds. "These events created opportunities to reflect on the past and look forward to the years ahead."
