Erickson Senior Living, a national leader in developing and managing continuing care retirement communities, has named Will Nance as the first executive director of Woodleigh Chase. Nance will oversee management and operations for the scenic 46-acre campus located in Fairfax, Virginia, which is scheduled to open in early 2024.

“Throughout his distinguished career, Will has been a champion for creating the finest quality lifestyle and services for residents, while promoting a dynamic and rewarding environment for all employees,” said John Mann, vice president, regional operations at Erickson Senior Living. “His management and operational expertise make him an ideal choice to lead the company's newest premier senior living community.”

Nance joined Erickson Senior Living in 1998 with an extensive sales, politics, and nonprofit background.  Most recently, he served as executive director of Ashby Ponds in Ashburn, Va.  Prior to that position, he was Regional Vice President of Sales for Erickson Senior Living.  At Greenspring, in northern Virginia, he began as a Sales Director before moving into operations serving as Associate Executive Director for two years and as Executive Director for four years.

Nance holds degrees from Auburn University and Strathclyde University in Scotland and lives in Old Town, Alexandria, with his wife, Penny.

Woodleigh Chase’s first phase of development will include independent living apartment homes and a clubhouse. Independent living apartments will range from 812 square feet to over 1,800 square feet.
