Highlands Ranch, Colo. – December 11, 2019 – At Wind Crest, a senior living community developed and managed by Erickson Living, hourly staff recently received a special holiday gift from residents, who contributed more than $303,000 to the Staff Appreciation Fund.
The annual campaign is organized each year as a way for residents to say thank you to hourly employees who provide a range of resident services throughout the senior living community.
At a festive event last week, residents had the opportunity to express their appreciation directly to these employees and helped to distribute the funds to each eligible member of the staff. At Wind Crest, eligible employees may include the community's wait staff, dining associates, security officers, communication and administrative staff, banquet servers, maintenance workers, culinary team, housekeepers, Certified Medical Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants.
More than 600 hourly employees benefited from the Staff Appreciation Fund this year.
"We were very excited to see so many Wind Crest residents contribute to this year's Staff Appreciation Fund," said Michael Maymir, Senior Human Resources Manager at Wind Crest. "It is heartwarming to see the deep connection and genuine gratitude that our residents and staff share, especially during the holiday season."
