Wind Crest is Accepting Reservations for New Residence Building

Wind Crest, the Erickson Senior Living community in Highlands Ranch, Colo., is celebrating a new milestone! This year, the campus is scheduled to open Dillon Landing, the last independent living residence building.
"What's particularly exciting for the residents of Dillon Landing at Wind Crest is that they are moving into an established campus," says Sales Director Krista Wagner. "So, the community is complete with countless amenities and activities to choose from, including a variety of restaurants to dine in. They can jump right into enjoying a vibrant lifestyle."
A floor plan for you
Dillon Landing will bring 94 additional residences to Wind Crest. The building also features four brand-new floor plans designs and a variety of the community's most sought-after one- and two-bedroom homes, back by popular demand. Sizes range from 835 square feet to more than 2,200 square feet.
The Loveland and the Monument are among the new floor plans, each boasting two large bedrooms and two baths. The Tabernash is a luxury two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath unit, and the Woodmoor is a luxury two-bedroom, two-and-a-half-bath with den design. All of them offer either a balcony or a patio.
"All the homes come with brand-new, state-of-the-art appliances and quartz countertops as well," adds Wagner. "They can also be customized. If residents want to make changes, like installing a different backsplash, our Custom Interiors team here on campus will work with them to make it exactly the way they want. There are so many choices!"
Wagner notes that Dillon Landing will also bring a hobby shop, including a kiln for making pottery as well as room for jewelry making.
New amenities
Dillon Landing residents will have easy access to all the community has to offer, including nine top-notch restaurants.
If you love a contemporary seafood-centric menu along with classic favorites, check out Carter's Restaurant. In the warmer months, patio seating overlooking the beautiful Summit Square courtyard and amphitheater make Carter's the place to be--especially during the community's summer concert series.
Cascades offers a variety of favorites including steak medallions, herb-crusted cod, and shrimp tandoori.
If you prefer a light bite, the Colorado Cafe is a fast-casual dining venue for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Besides flatbreads, salads, and burgers, the cafe serves light fare such as grilled cilantro lime scallops and grilled trout.
"While timeless favorites remain, our chefs ensure that specials and menus change often so that residents always have new dishes to try," says Wagner.
Myriad activities
In addition to 200 resident-led clubs and groups for everything from cardmaking and crafts to fitness and education, Wind Crest also hosts both indoor and outdoor events, speakers, festivals, and more.
"Residents have so many activities to choose from that they're never bored. In fact, many of them end up using calendars again so that they can keep track of everything they've got going on," says Wagner, with a laugh. "You can get involved in as much or as little as you'd like!"
Residents are often found playing bocce and pickleball and visiting the outdoor putting green. Indoor options include two pools as well as the fully equipped fitness center, which offers a range of group classes.
One of the most popular new activities scheduled to open at Wind Crest in May is the golf simulator, which gives residents a chance to work on their swing all year.
Convenient care
Dillon Landing residents can also take advantage of the convenient on-site medical center, staffed with four full-time physicians, two physician assistants, four medical assistants, and a licensed clinical social worker--all of whom are experienced in senior care.
While residents benefit from seeing their primary care physician right where they live, they can also see specialists--ranging from cardiologists and dermatologists to audiologists and ophthalmologists--who come to campus regularly.
"Best of all, residents can often get same-day appointments with a primary care provider," says Wagner. "So, if you wake up with a scratchy throat or you just aren't feeling great, you can call and get checked out without having to wait a week, as you may have with an off-campus provider."
Adding to the convenience, residents can order their prescriptions using the on-site CVS Pharmacy® and either pick them up or have them delivered right to their door.
"We do all we can to make everything easy for our residents," says Wagner. "That way, they can concentrate on having fun and living a vibrant lifestyle!"
