Colorado Café Opens at Wind Crest

Wind Crest, an Erickson Senior Living community in Highlands Ranch, recently celebrated the grand opening of the Colorado Café, a brand-new on-campus dining venue. Residents, staff and guests gathered for a festive ribbon-cutting ceremony, complete with champagne toast and passed appetizers featuring sample menu items.

“We are thrilled to welcome the entire Wind Crest community to our newest venue,” said Nicole Norton, Director of Dining. “This new restaurant has been eagerly anticipated as an additional dining destination, and our team couldn’t be happier to provide this special place for residents to enjoy a fresh, delicious meal with friends and neighbors.”

Wind Crest’s professional chefs have created a versatile menu that incorporates some of community members’ favorite dishes along with creative new additions to honor local culinary traditions and meet the evolving tastes of today’s seniors. Flat bread pizzas, pasta dishes, sandwiches, fresh-baked cookies, and variety of fresh soups and salads will be among the offerings.

Located just steps from Wind Crest’s spacious, stylish independent living apartment homes and an array of other amenities, the Colorado Café will provide fast casual service for lunch and dinner, and even al fresco dining. A large outdoor covered patio will offer beautiful southern views of the Front Range mountains.

“We anticipate patio dining will be extremely popular in the spring and summer months,” said Norton.

The community is slated to open its tenth and final restaurant, Cascades, later this year. Cascades will feature more formal restaurant-style dining and includes additional outdoor seating, overlooking the Colorado neighborhood’s magnificent courtyard featuring a unique, three-tier central amphitheater, beautiful landscaping, and scenic vistas.
