Seabrook Community Pitches in to Donate School Supplies

August 12, 2014

TINTON FALLS, NJ - The Seabrook community once again did its part to assist local students looking to get a good education by providing them with some tools of the trade.
For approximately one month, residents and staff donated a variety of school supplies, including pens, pencils, notebooks, crayons and calculators to the United Way of Monmouth County.
Baskets were setup throughout the community's clubhouses and items were dropped in by individuals who purchased the them for the benefit of Monmouth County students in need.
More than $500 worth of supplies were collected for the students this year, which was the third in a row this drive has taken place.
"We fully understand the need to help our young students here in the region because they are our future," said Seabrook Executive Director Art Sparks. "Our community is continually committed to helping students in a variety of way, including hiring them to work at Seabrook and giving them the opportunity to earn scholarship money through the Scholars Fund."
In addition to assisting the United Way with this project, Seabrook staff aided the organization back in May by providing employees to help at the annual golf classic.
