Riderwood Appoints Chandra Kumar as Associate Executive Director

SILVER SPRING, MD---Riderwood, the Erickson Living retirement community, appointed Chandra Kumar as Associate Executive Director.
Ms. Kumar brings over eighteen years of experience in the senior living industry to Riderwood.  Previously, she served as Administrator for Friends House, a continuing care retirement community in Sandy Spring, Maryland, as well as Vice President for Amertel Communication.  Ms. Kumar also served as Health Care Administrator and Assisted Living Manager for Marriott Senior Living Services and its successor, Sunrise Senior Living.
In her leadership position at Riderwood, she will oversee risk management and compliance operations.  At its 120-acre campus in Silver Spring, Riderwood is home to over 2,500 residents.
Ms. Kumar holds a BS in Accounting from the University of Maryland, College Park, and an MA in Management of Aging Services from the Erickson School of Aging at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.  She has been a licensed Nursing Home Administrator in Maryland for over eighteen years.
A resident of Sandy Spring, Maryland, Ms. Kumar volunteers with the PTA.
