"Battle of the Beltways" Continues for Erickson Senior Living Residents in Annual Softball Tournament

SILVER SPRING, MD---Last week, the Baltimore Orioles and the Washington Nationals energized baseball enthusiasts in the "Battle of the Beltways" with exciting games in front of large crowds.
Interleague play's "Rivalry Week" in Major League Baseball was a home run for fans.  But that regional excitement on the diamond is not over.
Residents of four Erickson Living retirement communities will continue the Baltimore-Washington rivalry during their Annual Resident Softball Tournament on Wednesday, June 5th.
Two teams from Baltimore---Charlestown in Catonsville and Oak Crest in Parkville---will compete against two teams from the DC metro area---Riderwood in Silver Spring, MD and Greenspring in Springfield, VA.
These residents will play first round contests, followed by championship and runner-up games.  The games will be five innings each.
Fellow residents and employees will be in attendance, cheering these senior athletes to do their best for the love of the game.  The games are coordinated by the fitness center managers of each retirement community as part of a year-round health & wellness program.
