Seabrook Residents Contribute $200,000 to Hourly Staff for a Job Well Done

December 10, 2021

Residents of Seabrook, an Erickson Senior Living community located in Tinton Falls, New Jersey, recently made the holiday season a bit merrier for the community's staff by generously contributing more than $200,000 to the 2021 Staff Appreciation Fund.

The annual Staff Appreciation campaign is an opportunity for Seabrook residents to thank the hourly employees who consistently go above and beyond to provide a variety of services that enhance the daily lives of residents.

Throughout the year, Seabrook residents make gifts to the Fund and each holiday season, the funds are then distributed among Seabrook’s eligible employees, which include dining associates, security officers, maintenance workers, housekeepers, and medical and nursing assistants—just to name a handful.

At a festive event on December 7, residents had the opportunity to express their appreciation directly, as employees picked up an appreciation gift and thank you note from residents.

A total of 475 employees were celebrated and received a distribution from the Fund this year.

“I want to thank our residents for their generosity and for recognizing the hard work that our employees do to make Seabrook a great place to live and work,” said Executive Director Phil Jean. “The Staff Appreciation Fund is a wonderful opportunity for residents to give a gift to the employees who mean so much to them.”

In 2021, Seabrook won six Asbury Park Press Community Best of the Best Choice Awards. For the fifth consecutive year, Seabrook was voted Best Adult Community in Monmouth County. In addition, the community won Best Retirement Community, Best Company Culture, Best Overall Leadership, Best Assisted Living Facility, and Best Nursing Home. Seabrook was also a finalist for Best Employee Recognition Program and Best Place to Work.

Seabrook is also proud to announce a $10,000 scholarship to its High School student employees. In 2021, Seabrook granted 16 scholarships and currently 69 students are receiving scholarship money. Since Seabrook has been open, nearly 500 students have received over $1.7 million in scholarship money. High School students are welcome to apply for jobs at EricksonSeniorLiving.com/careers.
