The Roaring 20’s came rolling into Fox Run on September 17 for the annual gala to support the Erickson Senior Living retirement community’s Resident Care Fund. More than 250 guests attended the extravaganza, most decked out in flashy attire representing the flamboyant era.
The night was a whirlwind of fun for residents, employees, and special guests of Fox Run. The community’s culinary team prepared a delicious menu featuring shrimp cocktail, beef tenderloin, scallops, salmon, homemade desserts, and much more. If you knew the password to the Fox Run Speakeasy and made it through the bouncer, there were more treats to enjoy.
The casino tables were packed with eager players, and the dance floor was THE place to be. Local musician and one-man band Steve Floyd performed everyone’s favorites, and the student servers danced with residents throughout the evening.
“The Gala is known as the ‘party of the year’ at Fox Run, and this year was no exception,” noted Peggy Mather Wadding, Philanthropy Manager. “The residents believe passionately in this worthwhile cause and give their time and talent to make sure the gala is successful. Our employees feel the same way, and every department at Fox Run played a part in some way to ensure an entertaining evening.”
“This gala in particular will be one to be remembered, bringing positive results in strengthening the Resident Care Fund,” stated Ms. Wadding. “On behalf of the Gala Committee and the Philanthropy Committee, we would like to thank everyone for their generosity. We can’t wait till next year!”
The community also hosted a special Gala Luncheon on September 21 as 175 guests enjoyed a delightful meal and entertainment provided by Kristen Lindner, a comedian from Texas.
The Resident Care Fund provides the confidential assistance that allows residents who have experienced unforeseen financial burdens to remain at Fox Run, assuring that they will receive the care they deserve.
