The Countless Benefits of Working at Fox Run

For Lisa Sygit, it’s more than just a job—it’s a life-changing experience
Although Sales Associate Lisa Sygit has worked at Fox Run, the Erickson Senior Living (ESL) community in Novi, Mich., for less than a year, she’s already been excited by the company’s encouragement and support for achieving future goals.
“As a new team member, I find it impressive that the company offers further educational opportunities,” says Sygit. “This shows how the enterprise values employee growth—in current roles and over the long-term.”
For example, last summer, she was able to meet with her peers in Maryland, and it made a huge difference for her.
“Learning from their experiences and sharing mine solidified we’re part of an organization that supports each other’s development. To me, educational opportunities indicate a culture where people are encouraged to aim higher. I love being in an environment that promotes continuous learning and is committed to the future—both ours and theirs!” Sygit says.
Healthy work-life balance
When she began working at Fox Run, Sygit says she quickly noticed how much the organization prioritizes a healthy work-life balance for all of its team members.
“They promote wellness initiatives and provide access to an on-site medical center and fitness center. We are also able to use some work hours to volunteer,” she says. While she hasn’t yet used this benefit, Sygit adds, “I’m glad it’s an option!”
As the mom of two boys, Sygit says it is important for her to be available to help them with homework, drive them to hockey practices, cheer at their games, and do everything else that comes along with having a busy family.
Imagine how happy she was when Sales Director Allison Murphy said to her, “In addition to being employees, we’re also moms, daughters, sisters, friends, etc.”
“This perspective meant more to me than she’ll ever know, and it makes it easy to feel valued as a whole person at work,” says Sygit.
Countless benefits
In addition to competitive wages, Erickson Senior Living team members have great benefits packages, including health insurance, a 401K plan, as well as paid time off.
“I’ve already taken advantage of these benefits. I recently got a new pair of glasses, and I was pleasantly surprised by how well the coverage worked out. It’s comforting to know I have solid health care options,” says Sygit.
“The services we offer to more than 30,000 residents nationwide are only as good as the people providing them,” says Alan Butler, Chief Executive Officer of Erickson Senior Living. “This is why we take the hiring process very seriously in order to identify the best people. As a growth company with a bright future, we strive to be an employer of choice by providing an unparalleled workplace experience.”
Positive culture and DEIB
Fox Run has a robust Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) program, including employee-driven committees whose purpose is to educate, raise awareness, and coordinate special events about DEIB.
“The commitment to DEIB is something I’ve experienced through activities and celebrations, which strive to ensure that everyone feels welcomed and valued,” says Sygit.
She adds, “I love working at Fox Run because it offers a special blend of purpose, creativity, and growth. The culture here is incredibly supportive and community-driven, making every day feel meaningful. I get to work in an environment where both residents and employees are truly valued, and that sense of connection and care is evident in everything we do.”
