Houston, TX—Eagle's Trace, the Erickson Living retirement community in West Houston, announced the hiring of Weli Jabur as Director of Dining Services.
Mr. Jabur brings more than thirty years of culinary experience to Eagle's Trace. Most recently, he was the Director of Corporate Training for Timewise Stores operated by Landmark Industries.
Previously, he worked as an award-winning Executive Chef for Capital Grille in Houston as well as the Houstonian Hotel, Club & Spa, Houstonian Golf & Country Club and Shadow Hawk Golf Club.
As Director of Dining Services at Eagle's Trace, Mr. Jabur will oversee the operation of two on-campus restaurants featuring formal and casual dining experiences. The Dining Services Department also includes the catering events team and carry-out and delivery service for residents.
Additionally, he will lead dining operations at the continuing care neighborhood of Eagle's Trace. Offering assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, post-acute rehabilitation and out-patient rehabilitation services, the neighborhood features a person-centered approach to dining services.
Mr. Jabur is also partnering extensively with the resident-led Soaring Eagle's Wine Club to assist with wine tasting events and classes.
A resident of Houston with his wife, Etelvina, Mr. Jabur has three grown children. He holds a Master's degree from South Shields Marine & Tech College in England.
Mr. Jabur volunteered as an executive chef and celebrity judge for the Cancer Counseling's "Let the Good Guys Cook" annual fundraising event and for Stop Hunger Now. He has traveled the world extensively and enjoys playing music.
