Many Runners and Walkers Participated in 12th Annual Brooksby Village Marathon

June 4, 2013

Peabody, MA -- More than 75 people who live and work at Brooksby Village walked a mile wearing Boston Strong ribbons and raised money for the Benevolent Care Fund at the 12th Annual Brooksby Village Marathon.
"Every year we have a number of people who live and work here participate in the Brooksby Village marathon," said Stefanie Fuller, Fitness Specialist,  Brooksby Village.  "This year we had a great turnout of both runners, walkers, cheerleaders and we also had a record number of employees participate.   The Brooksby Marathon is just another example of how active people are who live here."
Participants walked a mile and there was an awards ceremony after the event.
Partial proceeds went to The Benevolent Care Fund which is a Fund set up to provide support to residents who, despite careful planning, outlive their financial resources. This Fund enables residents to remain at Brooksby Village, knowing they will always receive the care they deserve.
