Peabody, MA - Erickson Living has named Helen Lanagan as the Executive Director at Brooksby Village in Peabody, MA. In her new leadership position, Lanagan will oversee the overall operations of this retirement community; one of two Erickson Living developed and managed sites in the Boston area.
"Helen is a results-orientated leader with more than 20 years of experience in health, elder care and management, marketing, budget development, public relations, human resource management, program development and strategic planning, making her a perfect fit for this key role," said Christopher J. Emmett, regional vice president of operations. "Her expertise and dedication to service will help us further serve the senior marketplace in the Boston area with a strong, stable and efficient operational platform."
Lanagan has been a member of the Brooksby Village team for eight years and has held several key leadership positions at the community. Her many roles have included serving as the Administrator of Visiting Nurse Services, Director of Resident Life, Director of Operations, and most recently, Associate Executive Director. A few of her many accomplishments include establishing the first visiting nurses organization for Brooksby Village, being awarded the fastest start-up of a certified home health agency, as well as producing a deficiency free Department of Public Health Survey.
Prior to joining Brooksby Village, Lanagan served as Executive Director of United Home Care Services, Inc., in Reading, MA. She has also served as Director of Ambulatory and Emergency Mental Health Services for TriCity Mental Health & Retardation Center in Medford, MA; Chief Executive Officer of Blaine, The Beauty Career Schools, in Lowell, MA; Chief Executive Officer of REW Home Health Care Agency, Inc., in Winthrop, MA; and President of REW Services Inc., in Winthrop, MA.
Helen's professional affiliations and positions with these organizations are vast. They include: Chairperson, Winthrop Federal Credit Union; President, Winthrop Chamber of Commerce; President, The Community Family Inc. - An Adult Day Alzheimer's Program; Executive Board, Revere Chamber of Commerce; Executive Board, Home Health Care Association of Massachusetts; and Executive Board, Visiting Nurse.
Lanagan replaces Jim Wingardner who was the Executive Director at Brooksby Village for 6 years and has recently been named the new Executive Director of Linden Ponds.
