Brooksby Village Residents Contribute Over $210,000 to Hourly Staff for a Job Well Done

December 13, 2021

Residents of Brooksby Village, an Erickson Senior Living community located in Peabody, MA, recently made the holiday season a bit merrier for the community's staff by generously contributing over $210,000 to the 2021 Staff Appreciation Fund.

The annual Staff Appreciation campaign is an opportunity for Brooksby Village residents to thank the hourly employees who consistently go above and beyond to provide a variety of services that enhance the daily lives of residents.

Throughout the year, Brooksby Village residents make gifts to the Fund by contributing to fundraising efforts.  Each holiday season, the funds are then distributed among Brooksby Village’s eligible employees, which include dining associates, security officers, maintenance workers, housekeepers, and medical and nursing assistants—just to name a handful.

At a festive “red carpet” holiday event on December 7, residents had the opportunity to express their appreciation directly by handing the employees a special gift.

A total of 605 employees were celebrated and received a distribution from the Fund this year.

“Our employees do so much all year long to make the lives of our residents more enjoyable every day,” said Executive Director Tracie Bettano.  “The Staff Appreciation Fund is a wonderful way for residents to give a gift to the employees who mean so much to them.  We want thank our residents once again for their generosity and for recognizing Brooksby Village’s dedicated employees.”
