People who live and work at Brooksby Village donated hundreds of toys to Haven From Hunger. The toy drive kicked off at Brooksby Village right after the food drive ended for Haven from Hunger.
"We have been working with Haven from Hunger for years and everyone who lives and works here enjoys helping them out year after year," said Fran Gerrior, Community Resources Lead Coordinator, Brooksby Village.
More than 225 people who live at Brooksby Village also attended the Jingle and Mingle event where residents enjoyed a visit by Santa and Mrs. Claus, Entertainment by the Brooksby Village Gentleman, The Irregulars and other Brooksby Village musicians.
Brooksby Village has three large clubhouses featuring an on-site medical center, staffed by full-time doctors, five restaurants, two convenience stores, two beauty parlors, a TV studio, a swimming pool, activity rooms, classrooms, game rooms and even two branches of a bank. Residents also have the opportunity to take part in hundreds of different clubs and activities. The community also has its own Interfaith Chapel on campus that serves as the physical foundation for a strong faith-based community.
