Students Were Recognized at a Scholarship Ceremony at Brooksby Village

Peabody, MA -- This fall local students working at Brooksby Village, an Erickson Living developed and managed retirement community in Peabody, MA will head to college and for some, continue on with their college/trade school education. Thanks to the over 1700 people who live at Brooksby Village, 32 students from the North Shore will receive the $10,000 Brooksby Village Student Scholarship.

"We have awarded scholarships to over 500 students since the program started in 2002," said Elizabeth Macomber, philanthropy manager, Brooksby Village. "The students become eligible for the Brooksby Village Scholarship by completing 1000 hours of work here over a consecutive 2-year period. The students and the residents build strong bonds of friendship. They enjoy their conversations, daily interactions and learning from each other. The scholarship program is a wonderful benefit for students working at Brooksby Village."

This year at the Brooksby Village Student Scholarship Ceremony an exciting announcement was made, the scholarship amount has been increased from $8,000 to $10,000 thanks to the generosity of the Brooksby Village residents.
