Local high school students preparing to turn their tassels were recently named Student Scholars at Ann’s Choice, an Erickson Senior Living community in Bucks County, Pa.
Dedicated high school student workers are being recognized and set up for success through these four-year scholarships, funded by generous donations from community residents. At the Student Scholar ceremony on May 28, 22 student workers were granted $10,000 scholarships to support their pursuit of a 4-year college, two-year community college, or trade school education.
Also, employee Philomena Jackson received the Diversity and Inclusion award and 11 student scholars received donor-designated named scholarships totaling $28,500.
Since its inception in 2004, the Ann’s Choice Scholars’ Fund has awarded more than $3 million in financial aid to student workers to support their pursuit of higher education.
“Thank you to all the residents who donated! These awards set our student workers up for success,” says Philanthropy Manager Rebecca Nixon.
“The Student Scholar and Diversity and Inclusion award are just two ways that Ann’s Choice supports mission-driven team members who are eager to further their education,” notes Nixon. “We strive to make Ann’s Choice a great place to live and work!”
