For the seventh consecutive year, the continuing care neighborhood at Ann's Choice, an Erickson Living developed and managed senior living community in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, has been awarded a "Best Nursing Home" rating from U.S. News & World Report.
Ann's Choice's continuing care neighborhood received a high performance rating in both the short-term rehabilitation and long-term care categories. It also provides assisted living and memory care. U.S. News gives the designation of Best Nursing Home only to those homes that satisfy U.S. News's assessment of the appropriate use of key services and consistent performance in quality measures. Only 19% of skilled nursing facilities in the United States have been recognized as a Best Nursing Home for 2019-20 by U.S. News & World Report.
Ann's Choice continuing care neighborhood also received the highest score in the Five-Star Quality Rating System administered by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Some 2,000 people reside in the senior living community's three independent living neighborhoods; the continuing care neighborhood is also located on Ann's Choice's 103-acre campus.
"This acknowledgement by U.S. News & World Report is a fantastic endorsement of our staff's daily dedication to providing excellent quality care for residents," said Executive Director Chris Donati. "Our personalized care plans, holistic perspective, dedicated caregivers and comfortable accommodations in our continuing care neighborhood reflect a level of individualized service and care that is truly distinctive."
"For the aging population in America, a nursing home should meet the specific level of care based on the needs of each patient or resident," said Kim Castro, editor and chief content officer of U.S. News.
"The U.S. News Best Nursing Home ratings hone in on measurements like emergency room visits, quality of staff and proper distribution of medical and physical therapy to help families make an informed decision," she said. "These ratings help individuals and their families begin their search for senior care and should be used in consultation with a medical professional and in-depth on-site visits."
