HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO (September 23, 2014) - Residents and staff of the Continuing Care neighborhood at Wind Crest retirement community this week provided 70 meals-to-go to area church congregations. They did so to thank the local churches for their service to their congregations, the community and senior citizens.
The following churches received the meals as part of a new Neighbors Helping Neighbors Meal Program: Mission Hills Community Church, St. Mark's Catholic Church, South Suburban Community Church, Cornerstone Church, St. Luke's United Methodist Church, Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Valley View Christian Church, Grace Presbyterian Church, and Cherry Hills Community Church.
"We look forward to providing congregations with meals for their church members in need for many years to come," said Micah Peterson, Director of Sales and Information. "Due to a very favorable response, we have already modified the program to ensure its continued success.
The meals included Lasagna, Caesar Salad and Tiramisu, Enchilada Casserole, Guacamole, Pico de Gallo, and Flan.
