Wind Crest Treasure Chest Donated $13,675 to Programs and Charities in 2013

HIGHLANDS RANCH, CO (January 6, 2014) - Wind Crest retirement community's Treasure Chest donated $13,675 to programs and charities last year.

The Treasure Chest, which is staffed by resident volunteers, was established to create a system where residents or staff may give their gently used items for resale to other residents and Wind Crest employees and support worthy causes in the process.

The Treasure Chest is open on Mondays and  Wednesdays,  from 11:30 a.m. -  2:00 p.m., and is located in the Terrace Level of Cotton Wood Court. Wind Crest is located at 3235 Mill Vista Road in Highlands Ranch.

A breakdown of last year's donations follow:

Alzheimer's Association--- $450

Back to School Fund --- $100


Colorado Flood Relief--- $2,000

Garden Club--- $150

Pastoral Ministry---$1,000

Resident Care Fund---$3,000

Railroad Club--- $500
